Aims: The aim of OxPINTS is to bring together Oxford nurses of all levels who share a passion for the practice and profession of nursing and the unique knowledge of our discipline.
OxPINTS members are proud to be nurses and recognise that only by relentlessly pursuing, studying and debating the theories, knowledge and evidence that underpin nursing can we innovate, research, educate, improve outcomes, advance nursing knowledge. and be meaningful partners in the inter-disciplinary team.
OxPINTS members provide the 'think tank' for nursing for Oxford and a community of nurses committed to striving for excellence and the advancement of nursing knowledge and practice. OxPINTS members are key to the work of the Oxford Institute of Nursing, Midwifery & Allied Health Research (OxINMAHR) and are committed to embedding the Oxford Model of Exemplary Professional Nursing & Midwifery Practice.
Membership: OxPINTS membership is open, initially, to all nurses at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and Oxford Brookes University and is free. Nurses at all levels are very welcome to join us. Please use the sign up option below if you would like to be included on a mailing list for news and events.
Members meet monthly for dinner and debate (6-8pm) and events alternate between a formal (but lively!) dinner (pay for own in affordable venue) and a less formal 'bring some food to share' evening (£5 per head) held at the Headington Campus of Oxford Brookes University, or another local venue. If the fee presents a financial challenge nurses are asked to contact Tracy McAteer (in confidence) at email@example.com
Each of our meetings features a thought-provoking speaker who will aim to stimulate robust debate and discussion and each will have a focus linked to our aims.
The dates of our meetings will be posted here on the OxINMAHR website. If you'd like to attend please email Tracy at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com
The co-convenors of OxPINT are Professor Debra Jackson and Professor Dickon Weir-Hughes who can be contacted at firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com firstname.lastname@example.org
These will be held on the third Thursday of the month, 6pm - 8pm approximately
